- Rob, as you pointed out, oftentimes the memory card you use is gonna be dictated by your camera. For example, you might have to use one particular type. But it can be confusing because a compact flash card can look like a cFast card. An SD card looks exactly like an SDXC card, but, there are differences, right? - Yah, that's all true, and oftentimes you'll only have one choice for your memory card. And I mean by choice, I mean the type. So, you're shooting with a GoPro? Well, you'll have to use a microSD card. With that said, though, Rich, some cameras like many popular DSLRs actually have the ability to record to multiple slots. - A lot of DSLRs will also let you use a compact flash card, and an SD card. Or a faster card slot and a slightly slower one. Because sometimes you can set one card up to overflow to the next, or to do dual-recording for safety, and it gives us great options.
