- [Voiceover] It's time to put some of these ideas to work. Let's meet a fictitious corporation we've created for this course. First we'll learn a few facts about the company, later we'll construct the story of the company, the world in which that story lives, and the script for the business video that will use storytelling tools to bring it all together. Globe Bank was founded in 1950 by two brothers, Otis and Issac Bott. The Botts started the Globe as a local bank in England. Globe wasn't afraid to take risks in loaning money if the Botts felt it would pay off. Loaning start-up funds to a small hotel in London called Landon paid off big. And today the Landon chain has locations all over the world. When many other financial institutions failed in the 70s Globe thrived by remembering its roots, helping small businesses when others wouldn't, sticking by them through thick and thin, and making complicated financial rules simple.
