- When you're shooting a scene, you want to make sure you leave room for the editor. You want consistency, but also flexibility. You want to make sure that you have entrances and exits. This shot, for instance, comes on top of the dolly move that we did. So what we're doing is we're allowing Mark to enter the frame, so we have an edit point that works for the dolly move, though the dolly move could probably be eliminated, if the director and the editor want to. Don't think you have to take any shot all the way through the scene. You might find that a pick up works perfectly fine to get you from point A to point B in a scene. OK, we're ready for the medium shot. - [Assistant Director] Alright, (mumble) with the slate. Kill these specials.
