- So Rich, obviously having a fast, dependable memory card is important, but equally important is offloading the footage from that memory card for back up, and later on, for post production. - You're right Rob because having that footage on memory cards doesn't really do you any good when it comes time to edit, and the card reader as well as the read speed on the card are going to be some important factors that affect how long it takes you to transfer the footage and back it up.
