Operating advice for getting low angles

- Now, Rich, it's pretty obvious to get a low-angle shot, all you have to do is either get on the ground yourself or hold your camera closer to the ground, but that can get pretty old after a while. People with bad backs, or just kind of the pain factor of always doing the hunched over. So, when it comes to technique, there's a lot of ways of getting the camera low. Let's talk about a few that you use. - Sure, well, one thing that lot of experienced DPs will do is bring protective equipment with them. That can include knee pads or something to actually lay on. In this case, we were shooting on the ice. So, laying on the ice will get you wet, cold-- - [Robbie] (laughs) - [Rich] and not in good shape. - [Robbie] Right. - [Rich] So, you want to think about that. Other things that I look for is just ease of operation. So, for example, here, this is normally going to be resting on the ground. This is a Hi-Hat. Well, I could do things like adjust the handle, here, and angle that upward…
