Sending out call sheets

Sending out call sheets

- Sending out call sheets is a standard and expected practice in all films, regardless of size or budget. A call sheet details the key information that cast and crew need to know for a single shoot day. Although I had sent multiple emails to cast and crew with much more detailed information, the call sheet served as the last and final summary of everything the cast and crew should need to know for that shoot day. The call sheet is created and emailed to the cast and crew by the first assistant director the day before a shoot. Call sheets include the address of the location, the crew call time, which is the time the crew's expected to arrive on set, and the call time for the actors in the cast. You can see in my notes here that I added a note to use the main pavilion as base camp. Base camp is usually a spot close to set where people can go to rest, or set their coats down, their purses, or whatever. It's kinda like a temporary headquarters for the shoot.
