- Is your piece intended for art house film festivals? Just friends and family? Or for the world to see on YouTube? Once you have polished up your script and settled on a visual style, it is time to start thinking about your target audience. If we want our short film to be seen, we need to consider who's the ideal demographic. How can we connect with them, and how can we capture their interest? - Hopefully kinda the themes will carry over to any audience, but a lot of the stylistic techniques will really apply to an audience that appreciates film and maybe has seen a lot of film. - I like that a lot. - So it's kinda like, I don't want to say it's a filmmaker's film 'cause that's cheesy, but it's a movie that's kind of expecting a bit from the audience. 'Cause we're gonna disorient them, we're gonna kind of put them in an uncomfortable place right of the bat, so to have them kinda stick it out and understand and appreciate what we're doing. - And it's not that we are doing this so…
