- After while of doing the makeup and noticing that we'd lost some of that deathly pallor by adding some of the special effects makeup, I worried that it was looking too fresh and normal. Sometimes when you work on something for a while, it's kinda hard to see it objectively. So, I decided to test it on camera, to see what it looked like through the lens and with the approximate lighting setup we'd be using. It looked a lot better on camera than I thought it would. Just to be safe though, I offloaded that file from the test and did a quick color grade in Redcine-X and I liked it. When I was filming Heather doing the makeup I almost suggested to her to just wipe it clean and start over again, because I liked the original pale look so much better. But on camera, I really liked the pale, I thought it was great. And there was certainly enough for me there to isolate and adjust in post production.
