- All right Rich, I want to have a little bit of a soapbox moment. - Yep. - And that is please, please, don't use Auto White Balance. - A-W-B is all bad all the time. - Now, to be honest with you, for stills it's not that bad of a choice because it's snap, oh , well, take another snap, it's gonna be a little different, but you're not really generally using those in series. With video, using Auto White Balance, especially if you're in an environment that's constantly changing. - Yeah, like the clouds are moving overhead. - I did a movie a couple years ago that was a skiing movie. - Oh, all that white snow. - They had the camera on Auto White Balance with the white snow and it was orange, then it was blue, then it was green, all right? So the thing about white balancing is that Auto White Balance sounds good on paper, it's a bad idea for video, let's just get that over with. - [Rich] And your camera's gonna have several presets.
