Syncing dual sound media in Final Cut Pro X
- Dual sound media is common nowadays. As we know, audio acquisition when shooting with a DSLR is less than desirable. So what a lot of us do, is record our audio with separate devices. This is called dual sound. When editing the project, we need to put the sound together with the video and edit from there. Let's go ahead and click from the Multicamera collection. And in here we have the GOPROs and the TASCAM audio in here. Let's go ahead and select one of the GOPRO's, or this, which is a DSLR, and then just select the audio file. So click on one, then press and hold Command, and click on the other one so both of them are selected. You can then right-click and choose Synchronize Clips and that's going to open this panel. In here you will see Use audio for synchronization is already checked, but if it isn't checked on yours, make sure that you just click in here to select it.
