Wi-Fi monitoring
- WiFi technology is very similar to the WiFi technology you use in your home. It essentially creates a network from one device to another, but, we're not downloading movies here. Well we are, technically, but it's not like we're pulling down a MP3 file is it? - It's not too far off from web streaming. So, basically you're taking a raw video signal and you're compressing it into something that is palatable to go over the air in a very cheap, very low bitrate way. - [Richard] So, essentially this is probably drawing upon a real time H dot 264 code right? - That's exactly what it is. - Okay, and... - that's exactly what it is. - This is an open standard, so what I have here is I've actually fired opened the app. This is the Teradek app and it's working with the clip. And so, what are the pieces here, Kevin? - [Kevin] So the clip is basically a WiFi transmitter that connects to your camera. And its receiver is something you already have.
