Wireless microphone
- Rob, you know, there's one more technique that I wanna touch on, briefly. The fact is, is that sometimes you need to put a microphone on your subject. Now, this technique is a bit complicated. We're gonna explore it more in an upcoming episode, but I want folks to really understand this idea. And that is, you can either record on the person themselves, or send back to the camera. Now, you got a fancy system there, but I'm gonna go low-tech. - Okay. I could just take an iPhone, hit record with the voice recorder. Plug in a lavalier microphone, pin that on my lapel and stick this in my pocket. And now, I'm recording great audio. I've even gone as far, when in a pinch, as a backup, in case a wireless system failed, had the person hit record and just slip this into their shirt pocket so it was catching their voice as a backup. And so, a microphone that's that close to your subject is gonna record pretty good audio. And then later on, you just use it and sync it up. So maybe a little…
