- Don't worry, I haven't banished Keven from the set, he's at the rear of our interview setup here, manning the back light, and he's turning it on and off, and adjusting the intensity a little bit. And the back light is a key component of a three-point lighting setup. Now Kevin, once you're set, why don't you come back up here and join me, and let's talk about the role of the back light. From my point of view, it's kinda the same as a fill light, in the sense that it's providing a little more illumination specifically on the back of the subject, their shoulder, maybe their hair.
