- We've done our blocking. I've given the first AD a time estimate and I want to stay within that time estimate. But, if I feel it's going to go a little longer, I want to keep track of the work that we're doing here to make sure that the first AD is notified if I think it's going to go long, or if I think it's going to go short. The first AD has, needs lead time, in order to keep things moving on the set. And there are some things that take some advanced notice. So whatever I think is going to be happening, I keep track of the estimate I've given and see where I am relative to that. So things are going to get a little moody now because we'll actually start lighting the set. So we can take the house lights down. Okay, so we've already made some decisions about color, about how hard or soft the light should be, and the direction of the key. We want to make sure that the amount of light is consistent as we move from shot to shot so our depth of field doesn't change, and so the look…
