Creating a spike file

Creating a spike file: Learning Screenwriting with Final Draft 10 (2017)
Creating a spike file: Learning Screenwriting with Final Draft 10 (2017)

Roger offers a pro tip that isn't in the manual: the spike file. Simply create a blank script file with the name of your project and "spike" after it. Leave it open in the background as you write. When you come across a lengthy piece of writing you need to delete but don't want to trash entirely, cut and paste it into the spike. There it will be awaiting your pleasure.
