- [Instructor] Importing data into ServiceNow is done through what we call an import set. It's a powerful way to take data from various sources such as Excel, XML, CVS, the web, or even FTP and transfer it so that data is available to view and manipulate within ServiceNow. Let's take a look at the System Import Sets application in the navigator. Import sets can be broken down into three stages. Load, where we import the raw data itself in ServiceNow for staging. Create, where we supply transform instructions on how to map the raw data to the correct fields in the target table. And finally run, where we import raw data from staging into the target table by utilizing our transform map. So let's say I have this user list I would like to import into ServiceNow. It contains all my information on the first sheet and my data starts at header column one. This is the default where ServiceNow will begin reading my raw data…
