Protect data using access control rules

- [Instructor] An access control allows us to granularly allow or deny operations within ServiceNow for roles, groups, or users. These operations include executing a script, creating, deleting, reading, and updating records, viewing modules and applications, and accessing reports. Typically, we assign access controls to a role, and then assign roles to different groups of users, who inherit the ability to perform various operations. In this way, we can manage and scale security within the system, and the system will enforce these rules by ensuring only users with the correct access controls will be allowed to perform operations. Access control rules allow access to the specified resources only if three conditions are fully met. The first is that if any roles are specified, the user has one of the roles inherited or specified. The second is if there are any conditions on the access control that they all evaluate to true or…
