- [Instructor] Okay, let's get to adding the finishing touches, like her boots, beadwork, and skin tone. First, I'll make a new layer under the line art but on top of the other elements, like this. If your layer doesn't appear in the right area, you can press and hold and move it very easily. I think red will go really well with this character, like in our reference, so I'm going to use it as a base color for all of her decorations. I'm going to fill all the elements I want on this layer, like her boots, the stripes, and her headband, with the base color that I get off my reference, and then I'll lock the transparency. First, let's get some texture to her boots. This red is nice and striking, but let's dirty it up with a brown color using the pastel square brush at around size 130. You can find that here in the Pixel brushes under Dry media. I'm going to be really gentle here and brush a bit of texture over her whole boot.…
