Use live brushes to simulate fur using layers, part 2
- [Instructor] Now let's work on the fur using the exact same brushes, but a little different technique. Just like the hair, I'm going to use the oil paint filbert with three colors: a base, a highlight, and a low light. But if I use the same technique as we did on the hair, it would look like the fur was made out of the same material. Some fur could look like that, but this is where our reference comes in handy. I love the look of this fur right here. Both the color and the shape. I'm going to use the eyedropper tool, which you can find right here on the left to grab a color from the fur to use as my base color. What I'm noticing from the reference is that the fur shoots out in different directions so let's use the oil brush texture to mimic that by making short strokes in different directions. I'm going to make my size a little bit bigger and get started. This way it looks hairy, but it looks like a different length…
