- [Narrator] Now that you understand Derive, let's take a moment and look at how Derive could help us in manufacturing our bottle caddy. Up to this point, we've been setting up all the operations on individual parts, but in a larger manufacturing environment you may want to create a large number of specific parts all at once, and what we're going to do is show how that could work with Derive. In this case, we're going to focus on the end plates. Rather then create just one or two, we're going to create a large number of them all in one file. To begin, we need to create a derived file that contains those components. We can do that by going to the Create dropdown, and selecting Derive, and then left clicking on each of the end plates to add them to the Derive folder. You can see them here.
