Creating an exploded view

- [Narrator] Explode views can be very useful to help show internal items within your products, and can also be useful to help show the order of assembly. So to create explode views in Fusion 360, is a very easy process. First, we're just going to have to jump from our workspace change that from design up until now we've only been within our design workspace. But to create explode views, we want to jump to the animation workspace. So jump into my animation workspace and here of course we can create any number of the animations. However, in this course we're not going to go too deep into animations, that's for another course. But here we're just going to show explode views cause these are very commonly used in industry. So there's a number of ways we can get to our explode views. But perhaps the easiest or quickest method might be to use your transform tools, and if I take a look at my transform tools a number of very useful transform tools. But the one I use fairly often here is just transform components, which works very similar to our move components within the design workspace we were using earlier. So here I can just select whatever I might want to move, get the triad popping up there, and then move or transform my products as needed. So maybe I'm just going to move the bass down a little bit here. And already you kind of get the idea I can move each and every product here and kind of just create a nice simple explode view. So explode out some of the motors maybe, it's like here, and so on. And just each and every component exploding kind of one by one, and I'm just obviously making this up as I go along here. But we can just get the general idea of how quick and easy we can really make an explode view. And once we're happy with our kind of general explode view here I can finish that off. And really as simple as that we've just created an exploded view for this product. Also notice currently the bottom left hand corner the name for this is just storyboard one. If I'd like I could rename this, to something a little bit more useful, I could call it explode or explode view or whatever I'd like. So now I have this explode view it's been built in the animation workspace. If I want to go back to my collapsed view or my design workspace, of course I can just jump back to my design workspace. And now I'm back to where we've been this entire time building the assembly step by step, and have my collapse view there and just the same if I need to. I can jump back to my animation workspace, and once more I see this exploded view. And of course why this is useful is we might want to throw in this specific exploded view and say in engineering drawing or something like that which we're going to see later on.
