- [Instructor] Hi everyone, and welcome to another Fusion 360 tips, tricks, and techniques. Today we are going to make a knurl. I have here a simple cylinder with a diameter of 50 millimeters. To create a knurl in Fusion 360, the first step would be heading up to CREATE and selecting Coil. So, with coil we are prompted to select a plane or planar face. Let's try sketching on the top face of the cylinder. Next, we are asked to place our center point as this is a circle. So, I'm going to place our center point at the center. Recall that the diameter of this cylinder is 50. I'm going to copy that value, keying in 50 as well, hitting Enter. For the coil type, the best option would be using height and pitch. Next, the first thing I will tweak on this panel is the section size. I'm going to key in a small value, let's say two. So, notice here it updated.
