Creating the power exit

- [Instructor] Okay, so the next thing we are going to do is add a little hole at the bottom of the base shell for the cable to get out. If I turn on our little controller here. Let me just jump back up to the top level. Activate that. You will see that it has a little power cable here. What I want to do is get this power cable out through a little hole underneath here. So the first thing we're going to do is drop a little hole in there. So I'll show you how to do that. Now obviously, we haven't got a flat surface here to start drawing a sketched foot hole center, but we don't really need that. We can still drill a nice hole in there pretty easily. So, select this part and you can right click save find in the browser and it will take me to the base hole part and it will activate it. And I'll turn now our little module off, because we don't need that right at the moment. And while I've got the base still activated I'm going to create an offset plane, and I'm going to pick the top surface of the cradle here and create an offset plane. That's offset down site 35. That'll be good. It's a little below the shell here and that's kind of where we need to be. Now right click on here and create a sketch. Now say look at, and you can see where the origin is here. So I need to have a little line that's about from here to down here. Select it and make it constructured, drop a dimension on. That will make it about 30. And then put a little circle on the end of it. And I think I'm going to make it eleven, because I know that the diameter of the biggest part of the little power plugs is ten. So 11 should be some clearance and wiggle room to get it out of there. You can see that it's automatically predicted a bit of geometry there, which we'll just delete. With the any key, it will become unconstrained. So we'll just grab that and make it vertical. That's a bit better. Alright so the next thing we need to do is just extrude this through the shell. So, we'll just hit extrude. Pick on that and grab this. Drag it up and then we can, say we want to cut and we can cut to an object. Pick this inner surface, and what it'll do is just cut a nice little hole that'll match up with that there. Now our little cable can escape. Add a hole to the power transformer. Okay, so in the next movie we are going to add some supports in here for the cradle to sit on, and that'll help take the weight of the whole internal structure and distribute it a bit better into the rest of this base shell.
