Creating a static stress study

- [Instructor] Fusion 360 includes eight different types of simulation. From the basic static stress all the way up to the advanced shape optimization. For this course, we'll focus on a simple static stress study, but the process for setting up a study is essentially similar for each of the study types. To begin a simulation, we'll change the workspace to simulation. This will offer us a dialogue where we can pick the study type that we want between Static Stress, Modal Frequencies, Thermal and Thermal Stress, Structural buckling, Nonlinear Static Stress, Events Simulation, which is in preview and Shape Optimization. The four study types along the top of the dialog box can be done either on the Cloud or on your local system. The four more advanced types along the bottom must be done on the Cloud and will consume Cloud credits. We'll start our static stress by selecting Create Study. As with other workspaces, the simulation workspace updates the toolbar and it also specializes the…
