Derived manufacturing

- Now that you know how to make tool paths to manufacture the parts you've created, I want to take a minute and talk about derive. derive is a functionality that wasn't specifically created for manufacturing, but comes in very, very handy when you're working with others to manufacture parts. On the screen you can see two files that I've created and there's an exercise file called Derive MGF.f3z that you can upload, to see these files connected. On the screen I have derive overview view on. This is the parent design of the derive. If you look at the timeline, it has things like a sketch, an extrude, chamfer, hole, all the things that are required to create the geometry that you see on the screen. Now, if I switch over to the derive MFG file, you'll notice something slightly different. If you look at the timeline now, you'll see that there's only a single body telling you that it's been derived from another file. What's…
