Editing a model and creating geometry in the study

- Once the generative design study has been created, if you need to add additional geometry, but don't want to add it to the overall design, you can use the edit model tool to create new geometry that's local only to the study. Selecting edit model will take you to a model creation interface looking just like your normal design space. In here, you can use primitives or sketch features to create the geometry you need. In this case, I'll create a cylinder with 2.3 inch diameter and a height that's made to meet the preserved geometry that I want to keep. You'll see that the feature wants to cut geometry. It is very important that you create this new geometry as a new body. We're creating this new body to guide the generative geometry around the shape. You can treat these bodies as though you would treat any other, including using patterning, or in this case, mirror tool. Replicate it to the other side and now we can use this model to further guide our design. I'll finish the change and…
