Embossing the text
- [Narrator] In this lesson, we will emboss the text on our curved surface. Let's turn on the visibility of our surface, zooming out. Make sure you are under Model Workspace. I'm going to hit S to grab our Model Toolbox. Type in TH and select thicken. Select this surface, extrude this inward by giving this a thickness of negative one. Operation, new body, and hit okay. I'm going to select our sheet metal body, hit M for move, head to right view. Making sure move type is free move, let's move our sheet metal body up... Coinciding with our thickened body. Next, I'm going to change the move type to rotate. For this axis, it will be our Y axis. Selecting Y axis... Head to top view and rotate our view. My intent here is to position our text on this side, so I'm going to key in an angle. Select our right view zooming in, so we want this at the middle. So I'm going to change our angle to 112.
