- [Instructor] Now that we've created a roughing pass, we're able to add in a little bit more detail, and to do this, I'm going to use a horizontal strategy right here, and this cutting strategy is great for a topographic map like this, because it identifies all of the flat areas of your model, and runs an edge offset to cut away those surfaces. So basically our entire model is just a series of flat surfaces, and once we run our horizontal path, our stock material is really going to start looking like our final model, so it's pretty rewarding to see this path run in real life. To get started, let's just select it, and we're going to use the same 1/2-inch diameter tool, which was used for our roughing path. I'm using 1/2-inch here because the diameter is so wide that it will run through a majority of the site much more quickly than a thinner diameter tool would. So we're going to leave it here.
