- [Instructor] Let's talk about a more appropriate situation to use smooth topography on a site model. In your exercise files under chapter four, you're going to find a file called 4.3 that has some topographic site information along with a basic setup that I provided for you and a full tool library. So this is a great example to use smooth typography to represent our site information. It covers a wide area of about 6,500 feet in both directions. And we're using a scale one inch equals 250 feet to make our final model dimensions about 26 by 26 inches. At the scale, we're able to cover a really wide variety of site conditions and slope changes. Now, if I were to represent this site with step topography the individual sheets would cover really wide spans of height.
