Laying up part with mold and core

- [Instructor] Now it's time to actually build our push bike. So, we're starting with the finished mold here and all of our pre-cut pre-primed carbon fiber materials. And we're going to make sure that we're wearing gloves so that we don't get in contact with that prepreg because you can build up a allergic reaction to epoxy if you have prolonged exposure to it. So we're going to be laying these parts directly on the mold. A couple things to think about is that the material that's being applied directly to the mold itself is the material that you will see when the part comes out. So making sure that fiber alignment or any aesthetics that you want to do is done right there is really important. And you'll see how we're laying each piece of prepreg material against the mold and making sure that we're pressing it down so that we get any air pockets out and really get good compaction.
