- [Instructor] Now let's talk about mechanical properties for simulating early in our design process. So we went ahead and did CFD testing which is looking at the wind flow over the bike, so how fast the bike's going to cut through the air and where we're going to create drags, we can make it as fast as possible. Now let's look at the mechanical properties and how different forces and loads are going to be applied to the frame and how our bike will respond to those. So, we're again in Ansys Discovery and this time we're using the structural part of it. So you can see up here, we have structural which is what we've selected, and I went ahead and created this as a shell of a body. So if you look over here, this model it's basically a thickened body that cuts through. So I basically used my internal core and my external surface and created that and made that into a solid body.
