- [Instructor] Let's go ahead now and talk about matrix and the state of matrixes. Now there's two basic states that you can get your matrix in. And the first and most commonly used is room temperature mixed matrixes. Now, this is a matrix where you can have a hardener and a resin that's mixed at room temperature and then applied to your fabric reinforcement. Now, there's many application options for this type of matrix and I say that because you can apply the matrix to essentially any fabric combination that you want. So if you had a Kevlar or a uni-directional carbon fiber with a plain weave fiberglass, those types of combinations can easily be achieved in a room temperature mixed matrix. This can also be the most cost effective system to use out there because you have the option of many different types of matrixes so you can get a very cost-effective to a very costly matrix, but the options are out there, where in…
