- [Instructor] Hi, everyone, and welcome to another Fusion 360 tips, trick, and techniques. This week we are going to merge a solid body to a sheet metal body. So here I have a swept feature, here the profile, and this the path. So notice here this is a solid body. Next I'm going to create a sheet metal. So, I have here a predefined sketch. I'm going to turn this semicircle into a sheet metal. So I'm heading up to Flange and selecting this profile. Let me change the thickness to Side 2, operation New Body, and hit OK. Notice on our Bodies folder we now have a solid body and a sheet metal body. In Fusion 360 we can merge these two bodies into one. Here our intent is to turn this solid body into a sheet metal body. To do that we simply need to head to the Solid tab, head to Modify, and select Combine.
