Modeling the energy director

- Let's assume we will be using ultrasonic welding to assemble our case bottom and top. Let's add a energy director on this face of our case bottom. And before we create a sketch, I'd like to move our marker before the fillet was created in order for us to have a smooth offset. So let's select this face, right click, and select create sketch. Let's turn off our section analysis. Hitting O for offset, making sure chain selection is enabled. The thickness of our case is six, so let's offset this. Half of six to be three. And hitting OK. Selecting stop sketch. And instead of creating a sweep, I prefer extruding our sketch in the batch workspace. So selecting batch, let's head up to create and select extrude. Deselecting this current selection, and selecting this profile, moving our arrow up. I prefer the distance or height to be two millimeters.
