Predict the risk of structural buckling

- [Instructor] For certain products, you might need to go beyond the basic static stress. For example, this jack stand was analyzed using static stress, and the results showed that it was going to work. Let's rerun the results quickly as a local study to see what they were. The static stress showed that the design would work, but what we're concerned with is whether or not there's a risk of buckling, or if any of the members are being loaded in a way that we don't expect. So we'll reuse the information used for the static stress and clone the study. We'll right-click and select Settings and change it to a structural buckling study. We can update the number of modes if we want to, and we can refine the mesh. Let's go ahead and bring the mesh level down somewhat. We'll click Okay.
