- [Instructor] Thank you for joining me in this course, composite design and manufacturing, validation and production. Now this is part three of a three-part series of the composite design and manufacturing. So, in part one, we talked about the process and materials. So, the types of composites, the reinforcements, the types of matrix that we use and how we manufacture the parts so the molding processes and how that affects the design. Now, in part two, we talked about the product development and early on simulations. So we talked about how to design the part and what tools we use to design it and how we do early on simulation to validate our designs and make sure we're going in the right direction. Now, in part three, we're going to validate those simulations with the finished design. And we're going to add in some precision mounting locations like races, threads, some components that have already been pre-built. We're then going to go ahead and validate our simulation. We're going to make sure that our CFDs are validated and correct. We're going to make sure that our composite layup and design is right. We're then going to go ahead and dive into designing the mold, how we design the mold, the setup procedures. We're going to be talking about the cam that we use to program to cutting the mold. We're going to actually cut the mold. We're going to show you how we build the mold up and do our layups and then process it. Finally, we're going to take that part out. We're going to test it to make sure that it validates our original simulation data. And then of course, we're going to build it and go take it for a ride. Thanks for joining me.
