Primitives and direct editing

- [Instructor] For my final component I want maximum flexibility in my design. So I'm going to create a new design. I'll start out with a primitive. Rather than sketching I'll just simply go to the box tool, define where I want to begin my box, and start to add material. So in this case I'm working with a metric part, but I can tell it that I want this to be .5 inches thick by one inch wide without having to stop my thought process, go and change the units of the model until after I'm done. When I'm done editing my sketch, I press enter and I'm able to extrude my model. In this case I'll also add a value in inches of 1.2 inches. This will be my model, and this is what I'm going to begin working with. As with all of the other components the timeline has been propagated with a feature, in this case a box primitive versus a sketch and an extrusion.
