- [Instructor] Welcome to Fusion 360: Tips, Trick, and Techniques. On my class I typically give part modeling exercise to my students. For beginners, I always instruct them that if I head to home view, the model should be similar with the 2D challenge I gave them. So here's a simple part modeling challenge I give to my students. The objective here is if I head to home view the position of our model should be the same with our 2D challenge. So notice, if I hit home view it is on a different position. To reorient our model, simply head to our timeline and select sketch one. I know this is selected 'cause it's highlighted in blue. With the sketch selected I can right click and select redefine sketch plane. So previously, we sketched on our yz plane, so let me turn on the visibility of our planes, and this time our target is to have the model lying on the xy plane.
