Removing material with shell

Removing material with shell

- [Instructor] The shell command is not just a tool in creating hollow bodies. In this design, our intent, is to have this model be the same with this item on the right using the shell command. Let's head up and head to modify and select shell. Here, we are prompted to select a face or body. I'm going to select this top face, and for the inside thickness let me key in 10. Hold control, select this face, this face, and this face. Selecting OK, moving forward. Let's copy this model using shell on this item here. So once more I can right-click, selecting repeat shell. In addition, this top portion of our box, we have here a multiple faces grated using the split face command. So I'm going to select this top face and this front face holding control. For the thickness, I'm going to key in 10 and hit OK. And that's the power of shell command in Fusion 360. See you next week for another Fusion 360 tips, tricks and techniques.
