Sketching and extruding

- [Narrator] Let's design a new part. This time we'll make our USB battery charger that we'll be using. Again, we're not going to worry about the dimensions, but rather we're just going to focus on getting the overall shape and practice creating sketches and extrusions along the way. We'll begin by creating a new design. To do so we can click on the little plus sign here or we can go to file, new design. Note that we get a new tab that opens up. We'll begin this the same way by creating a sketch on our X-Y plane. We'll go to sketch, create sketch, and choose our X-Y plane. We'll start by getting the overall shape here, which is just a rectangle. Again, we'll go to sketch, rectangle. Instead of going with a two-point rectangle, let's go with that center rectangle. We'll start drawing this rectangle by referencing our center origin. Note that when I bring my pointer close to it, it will snap into place and I get this blue bounding box around it.
