Sketching the first side panel, part 1

- [Instructor] Let's name our file before we start any work. Click the save icon and type out tabletop standing desk. Be sure to choose your desired location before you click Save. Well, once it create a new component before we create our first sketch. Components serve as containers, that group sketches, bodies, and other assets related to the park. We'll name the first component side panel, then we can click OK. Create a new sketch on the XZ origin plane. We're using this plane as we're going to sketch the left side panel. Before sketching, let's add some user parameters. You'll find change parameters in the modified dropdown. From here, we can set parameter names equal to a dimension. User parameters will allow us to reuse dimensions throughout the design by calling the parameter name, this saves time and is one method to creating predictable parametric designs.
