- [Narrator] Let's continue by designing our little switch that goes up here, which performs a function of sliding back and forth to actually turn on or off the switch. We'll begin by creating a sketch on that top surface. We're going to want to create a rectangle in the center here, but instead of creating a center rectangle I'm going to show you something new. We're going to create just a regular two-point rectangle, so we'll go to sketch rectangle. Two-point rectangle, but notice the R is our shortcut, so I'm going to just hit escape and click R on my keyboard. I'm going to draw a rectangle by clicking twice. I'm going to give this a top dimension, so D for dimension. Click on that top line. We'll make this side 3.8 and we'll make the side side 1.8 and hit enter. What I want to do is now line this up to the center of the origin, but I didn't make it a center rectangle so I don't have that center point. I'll show you a trick on how I usually approach this.
