- [Narrator] So let's do a little organization before we get down to modeling. The first thing I'll check here is in the data panel in the upper left hand corner. And when I click on that I see a number of different options. So for example, there's some computerated manufacturing samples we can look at, design samples, generative and so forth. But we're interested in creating a new project right now. Now because Fusion 360 is communicating with the cloud and storing all our work there as well. This actually takes a little longer than you might expect. So I'm going to create a new project which is essentially a folder for the work we'll be doing. And I'll call this LinkedIn Learning. You can call it whatever you want. And when I hit enter, it's actually normal for this process to take about 30 to 60 seconds while the computer is thinking. So we'll just fast forward that. And there our new project is created. Now, if I double click on that project, currently it has no content. So we'll want to save a file inside it. So by default, I've just got the untitled file that pops up when I start Fusion. So here I'll click on file and save, and we'll call this linkage, because that's the first model we'll be making, and make sure it's saving to the LinkedIn Learning project. Okay, go ahead and save that. Usually that goes a little bit quicker. And there we are. So you can't really see any details yet. But you'll notice right here it says version one. So Fusion is going to be tracking for us every single version of this file that we make. I'll be saving things a little bit differently because I want discrete files that you can open up if you choose to while you follow along. Another interesting note here is you can see view details on the web. So if I click on that, that's automatically going to take me to myhub.autodesk360. This may be a secondary account that Fusion will prompt you to make but I've already taken care of all that on my end. And you can see that these designs are all managed online. So here Linkage is tracked in terms of its version history. So for example, if I was going to bring in collaborators or reference other designs all these things would be tracked on the web, which is great. Although it certainly makes me kind of wonder where all that material goes when you're done with a project. So for example, back here in Fusion, I can right click on an individual file and tell it to delete. But if I go back out here to the project and right click it, I can just say archive. So when I archive a project, it'll shoot up a warning that says it's no longer going to be visible when I go to A360 for search or anything like that. But clearly it still exists somewhere. So I find that cloud maintenance while it's really convenient for collaboration and so forth, it does make me wonder if I can ever truly delete my material. Okay. So now that we have a project and a working file we're ready to move on to the next step.
