Starting a new generative study

- A Generative Design study is an example of metalog design. To start you need to have any elements of the larger model, that the generated component will connect to, in place. Once the rest of the model is in place, you're ready to start. To begin, I'll open a starter file. The initial design file from my computer. In this model, is already a component of a plate that's attached to the larger assembly, that I need my lifting plate to connect to. To complete this initial design, I'll go to the McMaster-Carr library and search for a Clevis Rod End. I need one that has a shank thread size of 3/4 by 16. And an id for the pin of 3/4's of an inch. Scrolling down, I'll select the first model. The 6-0-7-1-K-2-2 and then click product detail. This will bring me into details about the design, and I'm able to tell it that I want to just insert 3-D step file into my model, Keeping it where its initially located.
