- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to talk about how we can insert threads into part of our composite structure. Now, this is a really common thing. There's always the situation where you need to screw something into your composite part if it's a clamp or if it's an accessory or some sort of mating hardware that you need. Now in this particular case, I'm going to show you two different ways on how we can do it. In the first one, I'm going to show you how we do it on the steer tube here. So now, this steer tube is made out of a core and a overwrap in carbon fiber. So our approach is going to be to make an inserted part. Let's take this frame away for right now. And what you'll see is there is basically... This is a composite, and then there is a aluminum insert. Now this aluminum is a 6061 piece of aluminum that's then anodized.
