Using Joint tools

- [Instructor] If you've used geometry-based assembly constraint tools in the past the Joint tools inside of Fusion will seem a little different at first. Joint tools are more theoretical, but they're also more flexible, and once you get the hang of how to mentally approach them you'll find them much, much better than using constraints. Before I begin assembling I want to make sure my Side doesn't move, so I'm going to right-click, and I'm going to Ground it. Now let's take a look at how we would assemble these components. First, I need to get the tab of my Slat component into the slot on the Side. To do this using traditional constraints I might look for planes to align with or to offset a series of faces to make sure that that is perfectly centered. With the Joint tool I can do it in one step. What I'll do is begin the Joint tool from the Assemble panel, or just press the J key, and you'll notice that the Side grays out.
