Using the exercise files

- [Instructor] If you have access to the exercise files, the main page of this course, head over to the exercise files tab, and simply download and extract to your target destination folder. The file extension of Fusion 360 saved locally, is .f3d. Currently the exercise files in this folder are arranged by name. The first two digits of the file represents the course chapter and the other two digits represents the lesson number. In this instance, my cursor is pointed to chapter two, lesson six, Begin state. In addition, every lesson has its End state as well. To open an exercise file in Fusion 360, simply head up to File, select New Design From File, drill in to your target folder, select the file, and hit Open. If a design is saved and edited in the cloud, take note that we have no local exercise file for that. You must perform all steps for that particular lesson. With the exercise files extracted, let's proceed to the first chapter.
