What you should know

- [Instructor] In this course, we'll walk through the step-by-step process of creating a digital site model. We'll then use that digital model to create the CNC cutting tool paths to fabricate it in real life. We're going to use Fusion 360 as our digital modeling software for all of these steps, so I'll assume you have some basic background of Fusion's design modeling space. If you're unfamiliar with the design workspace, I suggest checking out an essential training course on Fusion with LinkedIn Learning before beginning this course. We will discuss the manufacturing workspace in Fusion in great detail, though, for absolute beginners. If you're new to CNC in general, this will be a great project-based course to get you familiar with CNC concepts and milling strategies. Even if you're an expert CNC user, you'll probably still learn some tips and tricks you haven't considered before as it applies to the model building process. I will provide you with some real world photographs and videos of milling fabrication techniques as they apply to our digital design, but we're not going to go through the step-by-step setup on a CNC mill in real life. So if you're ready to build some professional site models, let's get started.
