How to use the exercise files

- [Instructor] If you're a premium member of the library, you have access to the exercise files used throughout this title. Go ahead and download those files to your desktop. I have them right over here under Exercise Files. Go ahead and open up that folder and you should see chapters one through four as well as a LinkedIn Library folder, a ref folder, as well as some templates. Now down here in the templates folder, these are the part and machine templates that I'm using from SolidWorks. If you don't have SolidWorks, don't worry about it. We're focusing mostly on G-Code in this course, but am I using SolidWorks and HSM Express to generate the G-code. These are some of the templates that are being used in the course. Now if you head over here to chapter one, inside of there you should see a folder for each and every one of the movies. As you go through the course, if you open up one of these folders, inside of there you'll see all the individual SolidWorks parts that I happen to be using. Again, if you don't have SolidWorks, don't worry about it. Focus mostly on the NC folder. Inside of there, you should see the G-code files that we're actually using in this course. Now you can use pretty much any text editor to open these files and edit them or look at them to definitely focus on the G-code not necessarily the SolidWorks files unless you happen to have SolidWorks with HSM Express. There's a whole bunch of different great CAM softwares out there and the one I'm focusing on is HSM Express. If you happen to be using something else, don't worry about it. Just focus on these files here and you should be all set. If you head back over here again, I want to point out one more thing. Under the LinkedIn Library, inside of there is also some fixtures and some Chick and Kurt vices as well as the table and the parallels that I happen to be using in SolidWorks as well. So if you happen to be working in SolidWorks, you get a bonus of all this extra great content. Otherwise, just focus on the NC files you'll see in the main folders. If you're a monthly member or annual member of the library, you don't have access to the exercise files. But you can follow along from scratch or with your own assets. Now let's get started.
