Adjust hue, saturation, and brightness

- [Instructor] Let's see how to use the Hue-Saturation command to adjust colors in GIMP images. In our exercise file, we have a couple of surf boards. And let's say we wanted to change the one on the right, so this stripe going down the center was red, like the other stripes. When adjusting colors, it's usually a good idea to work non-destructively by duplicating a layer. So, let's do that. And then, let's choose Colors, Hue-Saturation. In the dialogue box, there's a circle of primary colors with red, green, and blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow. And in the middle is a Master button. So, you start by choosing what you want to adjust. Since I want to change the yellow stripe, I'll target the yellows. And now I can start dragging the Hue slider and the hue changes. The box in the dialogue that was yellow changes to show you the new hue that you're applying. And I can tweak the lightness and the saturation as well.
